VETIVER
Vetiver is a perennial bunch grass that is used around the world for slope stabilization, erosion control and for its oil and aromatic roots. It makes a beautiful garden addition, does not spread and does not distribute seeds. Planted in a sunny spot it will gradually expand, sending roots up to 30 feet in the ground. The trimmings are a great source of natural mulch, and the roots can be dried and used to create sweet smelling essential oil. It is said that applying vetiver oil to your feet will help people with stage fright! Vetiver is also used to mitigate soil contamination by absorbing contaminates in its roots.
